Transitioning to milk

My baby's over a year now so I know it's time to make the switch. The problem is I have 2 1/2 big tubs of formula still. Do I have her finish it before the transition or just give it away and have her start milk now?

I say to at least use one of them. If she hasn’t had milk yet, she most likely won’t take to it right away and you’ll have to do a portion or formula and a portion of milk. I started off with 4 ounces of formula mixed with 2 ounces of cows milk. Then I gradually increased the portion of cows milk and used less formula! I have half a huge can of formula left too lol, it hurts my heart that it is going to go to waste

*you don’t have to do it that way, that’s just my suggestion lol

@Elena thank you so much, I appreciate all suggestions! I was thinking I would have to gradually introduce milk as well but her pediatrician said to just give it to her, which I thought was weird. I think it's a great idea to at least use another tub I have and then I'll have the backup in case I have to gradually transition her over!

I transitioned my son to goat milk powder and evaporated goat milk the day he turned one he’s been pooping a lot better and no tummy aches

You’re welcome! I have had a few people say to transition cold turkey but then I met with a pediatrician that told me to introduce gradually, and it worked like a charm!! I hope it works for you too!

You can start slowly transitioning now with whole milk but still use the formula

Half and half maybe
