I was booked in for mine at 39+4 and was also terrified, but it was fine. My first baby came on due date so I was worried this one would come before but I just rested loads and didn’t do any thing at all that could possibly bring on labour, I basically sat down and napped for a week before 🤣 it was fine and I had no signs of labour (aside from strong Braxton hicks) at all, c section went really well and I’m now on day 11 and recovering well xx
This was me on Tuesday , started contractions and got worse and my c section was booked in for Wednesday . Finally got the go head and gave me c section on Tuesday but I had to wait ages !!😩 x
Yeah, I went into labour 10 days earlier than my elective date. I called up, came straight in and was prepped for theatre. Waited for an empty emergency theatre slot and had baby at 10pm that day xx
I was in labor the day before my scheduled c section and they didn't believe me even though I was hooked up to the monitors. I was in labor for 7 and a half hours with no pain meds not even ice chips then they finally said baby has a different plan (at this point I wanted to strangle the nurse) and within the next 10 to 15 minutes they took me for my c section. Now I'm happy I had one bc my daughter ended up weighing 10 pounds 8.1 oz. She was born 8-10-23 and I just had a c section last Sunday.
My waters broke 4 weeks prior at 12.30am. Attended hospital and they monitored me, gave me the option to go vaginal or c-section. I was prepped for surgery by 8:30am and bubs arrived at 9.20am (I was actually 8 cms dilated by the time I was in the operating theatre ready to get my spinal lol 😂
From what I have been told if you go in to Labour it goes from an elective to a low category emergency c section so you will be a priority 🙂
Yep mine came 10 days before. I was done as an emergency c section (cat 2).
@Megan it depends on the exact situation as to whether it would be a low category emergency c section. I was a cat 2 and almost a cat 1.
@Rebecca well yes obviously it would depend on medical circumstances, my point was they push you up in priority like you’re not just going to be left to Labour.
Night before my planned section my waters went at 8pm and labour started within 15 mins. I called the hospital and I went in, they gave me the option of natural or section. I went ahead with my section and he arrived 1:30am ☺️
@Megan ah I see what you meant!
I went into labor 5 days early with my 2 month old. I was a little in denial and my husband had to drag me in. My doctor wasn't on call that day but the doctor on call offered to stop my contractions and have me come in the next morning for my csection so my doctor could do it. So that's what we did. It was still the same as me planned second csection, just moved up 4 days lol.
My stepmom went into labor before he scheduled c section date with my younger brother. She and my dad just called the hospital and told them. They told them to come in and she had her c section that day instead. It wasn’t a big deal really.
I was booked in for a section and went into labour 2 weeks early, I had some light bleeding so went for a check up and was told I was 3cm, because baby was breech they took me straight down and I gave birth within the hour x
This just happened to me in the early hours of Friday morning! My waters broke at around 2:30am so I called the hospital and went straight in. I was 3cm dilated, they monitored me for a couple of hours and gave me the option to go ahead with a vaginal birth or to continue with a csection. They had me in surgery by 6am
