Just a heads up on dates too, they may change depending on how you respond to your medication. Does work know you’re going through IVF? I told my employer and found at they also had fertility days you could take (5 days in a year) and my manager was really supportive. Might be worth talking to them
@Maneek Thank you. Yes my employer knows but our rota gets done like a month or so in advanced and don’t want to be having to do swaps last minute. I will look if there’s any days I can take too. X
Our medication appointment was more just to show us how to do it and what we will be taking. Then we got the meds about A week before we were due to start. In regards to timelines we got that about 2-3 weeks before being due to start. However ours didn't go to plan as I needed to take more stims than planned, so I would definitely book some time afterwards just incase of delays.
I think every clinic does it different tbh as we had our appointment, went to collect drugs from the pharmacy and then went back up to do first injection. I also got a sheet with my injections and appointments on but as others have said it depends how you react to stims x
For me, our medication appointment was to teach us how to inject the medications, what meds we will be using as well as sent links to videos showing us how to inject the medications. Also, I received a sheet with the dates and dosage for my meds. Currently taking my injections as we speak.
Hi lovely, we had IVF this year and had our appointment about medication last Dec over the phone. It was a call about the plan I’d be on (what medications I’d take, when and how etc) and also an idea on dates of when different things would happen so o did get dates of things. They arranged for the drugs to be sent to my home address and sent me links of videos on how to use them. I had an appointment in January for an injection they had to give me as it was part of my plan and I was able to ask more questions and get a demo there and then too. My egg collection was early feb. Hope this helps but, feel free to email them or give them a call if you need help with more questions. Good luck x
