Doula
Does anyone have a doula? I wanted one for my first pregnancy and I never found someone I connected with. This time, I found someone however she is not going to be available during my due date. She is connecting with other doulas in her network but I feel like I am so close to my due date and not sure if its right for me anymore with everything I am juggling. Also, the price is what is making me reconsider. Most doulas are minimum $1500 - is that normal esp with only 7 weeks left?

I spoke with 4, and hired one that I start meeting with for prenatal visits this week (35wks), and we’ll do one more home visit before L&D. Excited to have additional support since I’m a first time mom.

Mine was $2500 ( Southern California) so yes this is a normal price- and yes it is normal- especially if it’s a birth doula.. they are there for the birth.. I hired mine 6 months ago and while I have reached out to her a few times I don’t meet her to go over a plan with her till next week. From everyone I’ve talked to it’s the best investment
