Your not a terrible mother at all! My 3 year old is exactly the same! Constantly repeating herself wether it's a song or calling me or asking for something... it gets way too much! I go out the room too but most of the time I get followed which is why I tell her "I've come away for space and 5 minutes peace. Can you please let mummy have that?" And most of the time she goes "ok mummy I let you chill" but it's never for long but girrrrll I GET IT!!! You're not alone
@Salma we still on the waiting list for a peadetrician appointment
@Janet ah OK. All kids like repetition but children on the Spectrum LIVE for it. I suggest you get some ear defenders, just to wear for when you get over-stimulated and if you plan out her day to do different activities if she cooperates to keep her busy, anything, whether it's drawing, messy time, puzzles, colouring. You are not a bad mum, we all have our limits, and ours brains can only process so much.
Your not a terrible mum have you looked at noise cancelling headphones, I got some last year because I found myself not being able to handle little ones crying meltdowns they really stopped me from getting over stimed and therefore able to help him through it more. It might not work for you but worth a try 😊 x
I’m exactly the same with repetitive noise, I’ve recently bought loop earplugs and they’ve been a life saver! I can still hear him but it dulls that constant noise and background sounds like tv or toys that just add to the overstimulation x
My boys the same his 20months old ……and I’m pregnant 36 weeks!!! He gets on nerves but then all children are like that u just have to keep calm some how 😂 mine sings full alphabet and sings the numbers 1 to 10 all day
I hope you don't mind me asking. Is your child on the Spectrum?
