Vitamin issues

Anyone else having issues with vitamins? I took the Pregnacare ones in the first trimester, they give me an awful upset stomach. Stopped once I got to 2nd trimester and tried to switch to vitamin D and Folic acid separately. At my 20 week they gave me these NHS multivitamins which I’ve started taking but I feel so sick again and upset stomach 😩😭😭 I don’t remember this being an issue with my first but it always correlates with the vitamins! I wouldn’t mind if my diet was amazing atm but I’m still suffering food aversions and it’s not the best 😭

You only really need the vitamin D later on as folic acid is only vital in the first 12 weeks. If it works better for what you were doing between, then I’d go with that. Long as you’re taking those you’ll be fine x

@Samantha I think I will just switch back to vitamin D. Don’t know what it is but the multivitamins do just not agree with me! Xxx

If they’ve got iron (ferrous) in them it’s probably that. Notorious for causing nausea

@Yaz ooo I will check when I get home later xx

I said the same to my midwife at my 24 weeks appointment as I was worried that I need to be taking vitamins again, she said vitamin D is the only essential now

@Ellie amazing thanks, I’m going to go back to just Vit D xx

I was struggling with multivitamins and I switch the the bassets gummy pregnancy vitamins and I’ve not had any trouble with them x

@Peaches ooo interesting. It’s so annoying because you don’t know which ones will be ok and which will make you ill 😭 I don’t want to be buying every single multi vit to try 😂😂 xx

@Ellie haha I totally understand. I got them from boots . I believe they were about £14 but they have a 3 for 2 deal if you do end up liking them . X
