You shouldn’t be using Johnson and Johnson. Mixed or not lol. With the hair type she has you should only be washing it once a week. She’s 9 months so her hair will get curly later. My daughter was the same. A good conditioner is most important. If it’s not dry I wouldn’t do anything but once the curls come in or you see it’s dry add a light oil like avocado or a leave in conditioner and use the smallest amount. Even an aloe Vera leaf and use the juice and gel straight from the plant. Because you say you wash her hair 3x a week, and with Johnson and Johnson no less I’d highly advise you to go online and do some research on how to properly care for biracial( mixed with black) hair. Naptural85 and curly proverbs are great starts. Don’t worry about hair pattern much as so moms might make you since every hair still responds different. But look into those ladies and when you start using more products start with lighter ones and see how her hair reacts and go heavier if need

Yeah id ditch the johnsons. She doesnt need any hair product at all yet. Just wash with a gentle baby shampoo. It will prob change with age but being mixed doesnt guarentee curls or texture. Less is more at this age

She may just have straight hair. But I use pretty much the entire Baby Dove melanin rich line for my son and he has about 3/4 different textures all at once

I would not wash her hair more than once a week. My son is only 1/4 black with loose curls and he only gets his hair washed 1x a week.

Hair type is determined by several factors, including: Texture: The diameter of the hair strand, which can be fine, medium, or coarse Porosity: How well the hair absorbs and retains moisture, which can be high, medium, or low Density: The number of hair strands on the scalp, which can be low, medium, or high Curl pattern: The natural shape of the hair, which can range from straight to coily At this age you probably won't be seeing their true hair type yet. In the picture your LO looks to have fine straight hair which usually has low to medium porosity which means you need a lightweight shampoo so as not to weigh it down. As far as how often to wash it's usually longer in-between for babies because they are not sweating and their sebum production is typically lower. You could wash the hair and them wait to see when it starts to get frizzled or look greasy. That would be your indicator that the hair needs to be washed. I would try to see if you can go once a week so you don't dry out the scalp 🫶🏻

My SIL has 4 kids that are mixed (she is white, 3 of her kids are Jamaican) each of them has different hair. Her oldest is like a Brillo pad, her two middles, one has hair like her’s and her daughter has more coarse hair, and the youngest is very fine and curly) Everybody is different. The genes 🧬 mold differently in every person Personally I wouldn’t recommend ditch the Johnson’s soap. That stuff is not good for anyone!
