It took my little boy almost three weeks to be completely dry! Nursery is a hard one because there’s playing and distracted so bound to be a few more accidents! Keep pushing on with it you’re already half way, don’t give up now!💙
I had to stop after a week. Feeling really deflated but number two is just round the corner and I am too exhausted to chase home around xx
We tried the first time just before he turned two, kept going for four months - averaging one accident a day with us and many successes with poo too but loads of accidents at nursery. Eventually accepted we all needed a break and did pull ups. He started asking for pants instead a couple of weeks ago so we're training again and it's going great, but still some accidents and he's having to relearn the poo signals...! Some of my friends have kids who are 4 and still occasionally have wee accidents, so I don't think they stop completely for quite a while.
We didn't stop, we continued. He now goes on his own or if we aren't near the potty he will say. Poos are a different issue, it's hit and miss. Mostly does them in his pants...
I wouldn't give up, he sounds like he's doing well and should get there 🤞🏼 I think you will end up knowing if the time comes to go back to nappies for a short time. We are in the midst of it, but much earlier on.
Even when my little one was having no accidents, she still did not ask to go. I had to remind her. Maybe speak to nursery to see if they are reminding him/encouraging often. Mine would always day no first and you had to convince her to go witha toy or something, then she was happy to go.
We haven't even tried to get our 2 & a half year old out of nappies yet because he clearly isn't ready & it sounds like your little boy isn't yet either, to be honest. I think boys are more likely to be ready when they are closer to 3 or after they have turned 3.
