Newborn hates car rides and the car seat

Feed and change her right before you go and maybe take a little walk first to get her sleepy

Our little girl has a hard time sometimes too. I sit back there with her and hold her hand

I’m in the same boat 🤦🏻‍♀️ I think my husband and I jinxed ourselves: our first born, now 3 was awesome. As soon as we drove out of the driveway. My newborn now is in the same car seat and cries every time he is placed in the car seat, even after being changed and fed 🤦🏻‍♀️ we did start using a pacifier to calm him down. Hang in there. Also check the seat straps are in the right position.

Always feed, burp very well, and change right before departure BUT TO BE HONEST, sometimes we have to change the seat (if you can afford to). I’ve noticed my baby has a preference at her little age 🤣 lol I love her to pieces 7weeks now 🌸🥰🦄

Does your baby have reflux? If so I’d feed 20-30 mins before to avoid bubbles. Also bringing the car seat in the house to put them in at times they are awake and really happy then playing with them while they are in there for 5 minutes or so at a time will get them used to it more. Also check if the head cushion is too wide or too tight, does their head roll around with every turn or is it supported? We swapped our nuna standard infant cushions for what they sell at target and our baby is happier with those. My little one would scream in the car seat too. She doesn’t anymore during the day car trips but still does when it’s too dark out for her to see. I think it freaks her out

Possibly you put on too many clothes for her and she’s hot? Have you checked how her bare chest feels when she’s in the seat? Also ensure the straps don’t rub on her neck - those were our issues so I hope it’s as simple as that :)

I’m in the same boat. We have a pacifier, a toy, and a sound machine in there. But as soon as you take him out, and swing it he’s fine

This was my first born. I got a different car seat it totally changed. Have u got friends of family that have other seats you can try? He would scream in a capsule but was fine in one of those car seats u can turn around when they get older

Consistency. Gradually increase time in seat to get use to.

We personally ended up switching at 4 months to a transitional car seat because our guy hated the newborn car seat and then he loved it

I have a white noise machine that can clip to my car seat, maybe she would like that?? Can’t say that it helps my baby for sure because he likes the car regardless.
