Emory Midtown

I saw a lot of negative stuff about Emory Midtown and was a little concerned that was the only place I could deliver with my OB, but I will say, the team I had was pretty awesome. I didn't have the smoothest delivery with a slight cord issue, but we got through it and everyone was really great. It is a teaching hospital, so lots of on-lookers. But hey, they gotta learn somehow. And you can request no students to be present, as well. So mama's going to Midtown, don't worry like I did. Only thing I'll say is the mother/baby unit feels kinda like a motel 6, but labor and delivery was great, lol.

I had my baby at Emory in August, I was very scared also but I absolutely loved it

Were you able to take a birthing class there? The Decatur location offers every class under the sun but birth 😅

I delivered at Emory midtown about four years ago and the labor team (had a cs) and mother baby room was great. The staff was really attentive and I left with a lot of stuff but I also had twins

So glad it’s a positive review. My hospital Is Wellstar Cobb for delivery but midtown Is 5 minutes from me. I was going to use midtown for emergency but was kinda scared too. I’m glad you had a nice experience and baby Is here healthy with mommy! Congratulations 🎉

@Victoria i had a hard time finding a class, plus babg came early, so I went in a complete amateur 😅 they walked me through it and it went as well as it could.

I had an amazing experience at Emory Midtown as well

I didn’t have any issues with Emory midtown outside of trying to request no interns/students during my delivery but the doctor kept kindly pressing the issue so finally I was like f it, let them in. I liked mother baby but overall I think the US in general needs to do better regarding maternity
