@Dannielle we lay her down in whatever room we are in if she naps and she’s fine either on the floor with a pillow or on sofa next to us but the second I put her in cot she wakes up I won’t sleep in the bed with her as petrified she will fall out however I will admit I’ve slept on the sofa with her but her between me and the back so she won’t fall off. I want her to go in her cot but honestly she screams so much she makes herself choke just struggling with leaving her to cry I feel so guilty xx
This sounds so tough and agree I could never leave mine to cry ( theres a reason it feels torturous to us ) just remember it's a massive phase and you're not alone. Mine refuses to sleep anywhere but in my arms and my first was the same they grow out of it I promise I would learn to safe sleep move the bed or make it safe .. unsafe accidental Co sleep is dangerous but planned safe sleep 7 especially at this age can be safe and save your sanity. No advice just you're not alone! And you're doing an amazing job she just loves you so much she feels safe sleeping with you ❤️❤️
Hi Sophie, not sure I've got advice but to say you are not alone and acknowledge how tough it is. We've always had this problem too, little one doesn't like the cot and wakes very easily on transfer. also our little girl can't connect sleep cycles well so constantly wakes up during the night. All naps are contact unless in motion like the car Like Danielle, we now co sleep which I find more restful than having to try and transfer to the cot multiple times a night. You could look at a floor bed or a side car cot onto your bed as other options. We've done both. Are you on Instagram? There are some good accounts to follow there for safe advice like co-sleepy and Lindsay Hockaway x
Is Co sleeping an option for you? My 9 month old will not sleep or even entertain napping / sleeping apart from attached to me and I manage to sleep well because of Co sleeping lol xx
