Shoes left red marks on toes?

Took baby 15 months to clarks to get feet measured and his first pair, lady said he a 3.5 we tried on some shoes, first ones didnt fit we couldnt get his feet in, his socks were a bit thick (feet were measured with socks on mind) tried a next pair and they did get on with a bit of difficulty she felt his feet as he walked in them and said theyre good and they have half a size space for growth, let him walk in them and stay in them for about 30 minutes, once we got home I took them off and his toes were red making me worried theyd been being squished, or is that normal? Just for info, baby is a really good walker and seemed to do okay in them considering its his first footwear (we went for pre walkers as thought it was be easier to adjust for him to the sensation) hes also like 6th percentile for height so presume he'd be in a smaller shoe size than average for his age

Id say no not normal. We’ve only had Clarks so far and never had this! Only time he had marks is from where the Velcro was done up too tight and left a print on the top of his foot.

I agree this doesn’t sound like a good fit, did she try the wide fit ones on? My little girl was a 3G about 2 months ago which I think is just a wider fit and she’s still in them now

Definitely not normal, take them back and don’t bother with Clark’s, their shoes are too rigid for babies! Look into barefoot shoes which are much better for foot development and walking properly
