White bits in poo 💚💛💩

When googling my 3 months old poo I discovered it’s nothing to worry about. However, it is happening with every nappy load and he is not a good pooer He has had constipation, diaorreah, and I have had to help him with cutip and Vaseline. Just wanted to know if this is normal and anyone else has had this issue? I also think he is teething. 💛💚 - I have also stopped Colief as I felt like it wasn’t doing anything. All helped wanted if that’s ok.

That's what it's meant to look like. When we were in the hospital they always told us it should look like korma with decicated coconut in.

Sounds normal to me. Also it’s normal to go a few days without having a poo. Be careful using anything to make him poop as they need to learn how to do it themselves and ‘helping’ can hinder that

I always think that and worry about that. But he is screaming in pain also. But he is getting this a lot. Has anyone else had it from Colief being stopped

If you're concerned about them being in a lot of pain, I'd reach out to your GP or HV. Have you tried any baby massages? The poop you're describing seems totally normal to me though x

My baby has infant dyschezia so it can seem like they are in pain but actually it’s just uncomfortable, it does ease around 3-4 months. I found colief made her go to the toilet easier and her poo’s more wet (they were already always very wet) so when we stopped it took a few days to get used to it

Agree with everyone else, the white bits are nothing to worry about. My baby doesn’t have that because I stopped drinking cows milk very early on because my baby had an intolerance; I’m now on oat or soya milk which cause a lot less (or virtually no) undigested milk fats in their poo. You could try changing the milk you drink if you’re worried about the white bits or you could try it to see if it helps your baby poo. I can’t say if it helped my baby with the latter or not as I switched so early on. Not sure if this helps

@Becky I don't think the white bits are anything to do with dairy? I'm vegan and my baby still had it.
