@Siobhan thank you, I have no idea how they will run the C-section and how is the after care? Are u OK with your stitches? How was the care? How many nights they kept you and how was the ward experience, I heard the ward is 6 bed.
I had a c sec there last week and all the staff were lovely, only stayed in for 1 night but could have stayed longer if I didn't feel ready to go home
I had a c section there and the surgeons were great but the after care by midwives was not. I stayed one night and couldn't wait to go home x
@Leila I was in for two weeks before with my little girl (and three other admissions before that from 32 weeks!) and the anti natal side was amazing (a few of the midwives actually remembered me 15 months later!) the postnatal side not as great - seem to just be left to get on with it - a few of the midwives I had on the anti natal side did come and see me and offered to take me to Nicu to my little girl (she was there for two days) - I’m still in touch one of one them. Overall I can’t fault them! Most beds in a bay is 5 I think apart from the last one I think maybe be more! You’re in good hands overall! Depending on your BMI (if bigger) you’ll be given a pico dressing which both I and my sister couldn’t fault - both healed amazingly! X
@Siobhan thank you for sharing your experience, the antenatal part is great, I'm going for my regular appointment but I don't know how the postnatal is, heard rooms are sharing between 6 and care is not great :( So I'm very concerned.
How is everyone stitches recovery, do they make big cuts or its good?
Sorry I have so many questions
Honestly the support is there if you need it but once you have baby you will be in a little bubble - I suppose they leave you to your own devices so you know what your doing when you get home go to speak, the health care assistants who come round and do your obs every four hours are also very very helpful! X
I have had a csection during covid and natural birth personally barnet has been good to me every time. But i can tell you your experience will be yours what experience you get will just depend on the midwives around you that day no matter what people told me my experience was mine if that makes sense My main takeaway as i had my kids a year apart was learning to be firm and go with your gut over just listening to staff as sometimes it can be overwhelming everyone’s recommendations and opinions especially if their suggestion isnt what you want make sure to be vocal
@Siobhan thank you
@Jojo thank you Jojo
What do you want to know? No information as much but I had a c section there last week and my sister a couple of a weeks ago x amazing care both cases with different issues in both cases (one before and one after!)
