Have your kid ever had an accident in school ? Kindergarten.
He’s been potty trained since he was 3 rarely had accidents.
Now he’s 5 , new school .
And all a sudden 2 days last week he peed on himself . One time the teacher saw and the other she didn’t see because he was wearing black . He told he he felt ashamed so he didn’t move from his seat .
I asked him why did he has an accident ? He said he was busy and waited last minute he drank his whole bottle of water . Then I asked about the other day too , he said he wasn’t paying attention. He knows to list to his body we went over this last year and he never has an accident like in a year .

@Heather hey thanks , I agree how would you word the email I’m so bad at that . I always come off rude or like I’m making excuse
I'd id the same thing. Peed in my seat & didn't say anything till I got home. My son too had his first accident at school bc he was just too busy playing & waited till they last minute. He knows to list to his body but sometimes he's just distracted. Now he has to take an extra potty break & he's been fine ever since. Maybe ask his teacher if she could remind him to use the bathroom

New school, new people, trust to be gained, could be uncomfortable asking teachers for help or to go, preoccupied with activities/new friends, etc.. I'm sure we all had accidents at 5yrs old. It'd be worth putting a word in to his teachers to inquire about potty break schedule and what not, though.
