I just had my second one a week ago. I don't remember much from my first one honestly.. I felt like I recovered quicker from my first one because i was able to relax more since I didn't have a toddler running around lol. But the recovery isn't really all that bad..
I was thinking the same as they go through the first scar wondered if it was a different recovery or was it more painful etc xxx
My second didn’t heal as fast as my first (in terms of the actual wound) but in myself I was so much better. Up and on my feet so much quicker. Definitely found second time round so much easier. Xx
@Lauren my OB took all the scar tissue out from my first section. Scar and all.
The actual procedure for me was way better the second time because it was planned instead of an emergency after 5 days of induction/labor. The recovery took a bit longer but I was still perfectly fine & ‘back to normal’ within 5 weeks. The healing of the scar itself was exactly the same both times and quick, the only difference is after the second I have a little shelf of skin whereas I had a flat tummy very quickly after the first
@Lauren I had a second incision cut as they said my last one was to high to be able to go through again😩
I had 3 n it was way easier than the first not as painful n recovery was quicker. I was literally fine the next day
Second was just fine, healed a little slower but i think it was just down to less rest as i had a toddler as well second time around. Rest as much as you can, dont over do it and accept any help around you x
I had another one 2 months ago. My first one was 4 years ago so I was terrified (kind of forgot what they do). I definitely healed faster this time compared to the first time. First time was emergency and this one was scheduled so it was different for me. This time I walked more and it helped me feel better quicker. Take your time with things though. Rest but also walk when you can! It helped me!
It was actually easier as I knew what to expect. To keep on top of pain meds and to balance rest and moving to prevent tightness in that area
I had a 2nd last October. And honestly it was so much better than my 1st probably in every aspect. I wouldn’t do anything differently with my 2nd. I was picking my toddler up 2 days post-op while sitting.
