Potty training

After a few accidents on the bedroom carpet (literally held his willy and ran into the corner to have a wee), we decided to get little one a potty a couple of days ago as everyone kept saying he is ready. We are still working on getting him to have a wee in it but hopefully will happen soon. Anyone else potty training?

Oh wow you started already? I’m still trying to get my 3.5 year old to potty train before I start on this one 😂

@Sophiya well, I'm not expecting a miracle by any chance, but worth a shot, and I know of people that also started this early and got it done. He is good at communicating so we are waiting for him to do his first wee so we can make a huge deal out of it so he knows it's a good thing 😅

We've started letting him sit on his potty before his bath and seeing if he'll pee, if he does we make a big song and dance about it. Taking a somewhat relaxed approach!

@Rebecca that's our plan too

@Sophiya my eldest was 3 & 7 months when she finally got the hang of it ! I was only thinking the other day how the hell can imagine my boy to be any younger then that 😂😂 x

@Abbi lol I really hope mine gets it soon!

@Rita no I think it’s great that you are, I was just hoping my eldest would be done by now. My daughter is 15 months at the mo so I thought I’d start earlier with my second at 18 months as I really do think she will get it more than my son😂. And he’s got a habit of copying everything she does so maybe he will learn from her

We bought one, when we notice him pooing in his nappy we say to sit on the potty and he goes and sits (usually after he’s finished 😂). I also just bought ‘poo poo, bum bum, wee wee’ book and he sat through the whole book, he seems to be getting the idea 🤞🏻😁

I'm not expecting to start for at least another year (probably more).

I'm thinking to start potty train my little one I'm still stuck in which potty the best for this age, any recommendation would be great

@Ach we got a fisher price one that is nicer to sit on. Once he has actually started, we will get him a my carry potty but, although cuter, they aren't as comfortable

We are!! She signs for nappy before she poos so she's aware of her body, and she's had many wees on the potty now! Taking a very relaxed approach but planning on getting a bit more serious about it soon (in terms of offering more consistently, paying more attention to when she tends to go, etc) x

@Rita thank you 😊 I will check it out xx
