Do your little ones still ‘flap’ when excited?

We’ve been sent for an asd assessment because my 22 month old is still flapping. Is this normal at this age or should it have stopped by now? Just wondering if anybody else’s toddlers are?

My little girl flapped today after knocking down a tower she built

@Sarahjane thank you for this. This sounds like when my little boy would do it. I was just wondering if it’s actually quite a normal thing to still do at this age as they are still so young before it be classes as an autistic trait

My daughter never went through the stage of flapping, however my son does it constantly when excited, he's been referred for autism assessment as he's severely delayed aswell

My little girl has never really flapped, as soon as she could clap she would clap when excited. If you're being referred for an assessment it won't be based on a singular marker, my friends little boy has several markers but they won't refer him yet and he's 3 in march.
