Any advice on how to get rid as my daughter 3 in March wakes up with them and screaming her brother fallen whn he safely in his bed wakes up multiple times a night thn takes 2 hours to go bk sleep
I was reading a lot abiut night terrors after a scary episode we had.
Have a look at the NHS website as there lots of info there.
However, if they are awake it is a nightmare, not a night terror. During a night terror they remain asleep (even if they reply to you and look awake) and it only lasts up to 15 mins. Then they do not remember it happening (although you do) I struggled to go back to sleep after.
If they are true night terrors I read that if they happen a similar time each night if you gently rouse them into lighter sleep a bit before the terror occurs then that usually avoids it.
