Setting a timer. Remember to praise and celebrate every positive movement (sitting on the potty, even if she doesn't go - telling someone she has to pee or even if she already peed). Get a reward system going (whether it's a treat/sticker/interactive potty chart). Don't shame or say anything negative when an accident happens. Give grace, be patient.. It's only been a week.
We cheer her on when she goes to the potty and tells us she needs to go. We give her treats and stickers. We also had a special trip to the store so she could pick out some big girl undies and have some when she is fully potty trained.
Mine is the opposite lol. At daycare and grandmas he tells them and with me ..well he just sat in my lap and peed so🙃
I meant that towards the baby sitters home. I'm not sure if she's instilling the same practices that you are at home, but it's worth a conversation on how they're handling it like in detail. She may not be completely comfortable with the sitter, or she's too comfortable with the sitter.. If that makes sense. Either way, it's worth a chat.
Same here! My LO is also 2 years 8 months, and during the summer she would tell me she had to go potty, but between daycare and home she stopped telling me when she had to go. Now when I mention the potty to her she just tells me no.
Wish I had advice, my LO rather pee herself than use a public restroom
