My little boy is coming up 5 months on the 5th of November and he's still not rolling or playing with his feet, my eldest was doing these things by now but I just have to tell myself that all babies are different. They all get there eventually x
My girl is the same, just started now little bit to turn on side. But it looks like she wants to sit up more. You definetley are not failing her, she will get there. Maybe will just sit and later walk straight without crawling 👍🙂
My first baby was like this, she didn’t roll till 6 months and crawl till 10 months, but she was more interested in babbling. She knew several words before she turned 1 and was speaking in full sentences with a huge vocabulary before 2, way ahead of her friends. She was walking at 15 months so not behind physically in the end! They are all on their own timeline, try not to compare!
It’s still super early for rolling - the norm is anything from 4-8 months. My little one is coming up to 5 months now. He’s rolled a few times but hasn’t mastered it, and has just started playing with his feet and grabbing at his playmat in the last couple of weeks. For tummy time my little one does a lot better if he’s got something to amuse him like a foil blanket or we have an inflatable water mat with sea creatures in it x
Every baby is different so don’t worry at all 😊 milestones are averages but some get there earlier and some later and that’s totally fine. My daughter was always very physically advanced but only had about 5 words before 2… she’s now 3 and doesn’t shut up! They all get there so don’t worry about milestones, just soak it in and enjoy baby sitting still before you needs eyes everywhere in a few more months 🤣
My first born was very ‘behind’ on physical milestones, she never crawled and started walking at 21 months, Now you wouldn’t know she was so behind in rolling, sitting, walking etc as she runs along with her friends. It’s hard to not compare but for your own sanity, try not to compare 🙈
My girl is the same age,. She doesn’t attempt to roll either - I practice with her by guiding her leg round and she will then go over but has no interest to do it herself or even try. Tummy time is 5 mins max. She does like to play with her gym above her when she’s on a mat - does your little girl have one? I got a nice one from John Lewis but it was way too boring for her she wanted bright colours, so I’ve attached some colourful noisy toys so she will play with that now. Don’t stress, they’re still so little, they’ll get it soon! I did see a TikTok of someone who tied balloons to their babies feet and it encourage them to kick and play, maybe worth a go?
