10 month old not clapping

My little girl will be 10 months old in two days. I’ve tried teaching her and stimulating her to clap but she still doesn’t. I even hold her wee hands and show her how to do it. I sing “clap clap clap” and show her how to, she will smile but won’t try to clap herself. Is this normal?

Yes, they all do these things at different stages. These timeframes for milestones like waving, clapping and pointing is 9-12 months. I found my girl did everything early and my boy is taking his time with everything. They are all so different x

Totally normal, nothing to worry about.

My LB is the same, he’s only just started trying and he’s 10 months in 3 days! He’s been crawling and pulling himself up from an early age but trying to get him to try things like waving/clapping/pointing and even trying to say words like “mama” “dada” has been hard work 🤣 so now I know he’s just doing it in his own time and not worrying as he’s happy and thriving still, just a little lazy at certain things ❤️

My grandson is waving but taking his time crawling and clapping. He says dada and nana. He’s waving his hand at what he wants but isn’t pointing yet

Maybe try doing music that you clap along to
