Autistic or normal behaviour?

my son is 20 months and he’s my first child so i have no one to compare him against but wondered if he’s showing autistic traits? - doesn’t respond to his name - only says mum/dad but never in context - won’t try new foods - lines toys up and then moves them again to another spot then repeats - occasionally walks on tiptoes - makes shrieking noises - doesn’t really listen if you ask him something Just wondering if it’s something to contact health visitor about! Thank you☺️

Hows his eye contact? Does he look straight when he tries to say something or doesnt? Contacting health visitors is never a bad thing

@Lugain he does look straight me! but he doesn’t make any effort to try speak

Sounds exactly like my daughter! I’m suspicious too but mostly because I’m autistic myself and I also just get those vibes from her I can’t explain it 😅 but so much of it is normal toddler behaviour it’s impossible to tell at this age, it’s so common for asd little ones to be advanced as well as delayed so it can go either way! I would keep an eye but it’s whether or not the signs continue past toddlerhood that matters! I do personally think the lining things up is a big sign though😅 my girl is obsessedddd, shoes, toys, books, food, crayons, everything has to go in a perfect line 😂

Please please don’t look to much into it not at this age. Happy and healthy x
