Car seat upgrade recommendations

My little girl is turning 9 months and is in need of a car seat upgrade. What car seats are best recommended? Preferably a 360 seat & something that will last until she’s roughly 4 years old.

We changed to the Joie iSpin 360 and we love it. She seems so much more safe and secure in it. She naps alot in it too so I'm guessing she's comfy

@Rachel Thank you! I have known it’s time to upgrade her for a while but just don’t want to regret our decision as I regret the travel system we bought her. I will have a look at this seat in person & try her out in it 😊

What centiles is she following?xx

i have the axkid move for my son, best car seat i’ve had

@Kiera She hasn’t been weighed for a while so I couldn’t be certain but she’s neither big nor small😂 would say an average size! X

@Kelly ooo I haven’t heard of this one, thank you I will take a look! X

For accurate recommendations, ideally need a centile for both. What’s your budget? What car? Can you get her weighed and measured at home and repost on car seat advice UK on peanut? I just don’t want to say a seat and then it be outgrown in 1/2 year😅xx

Ickle bubba 360 seat is great

@Kiera Yes I can see how weight and measurements will be helpful so I will try and do that tomorrow 😊 happy to spend up to £250! For an estate car x

@Laura thank you, I will have a look and try out this one too 😊x

Personally I wouldn’t recommend a 360, we had one with our eldest and the bigger they get the more hard work it is to put them in. We’ve just got the Britax Max Safe Pro for our 1 year old which means she’ll be rear facing until that seat is outgrown, which is 125cm or 36kg, on average 6 to 7 years old. You want a seat that can rear face for as long as possible as it’s soooo much safer for them. Get your child’s height & weight and join Car Seat Safety UK on Facebook, the lovely admin team will be able to help you find the best long lasting seat for your child’s centiles and your budget x

@Sophie thank you! I have just joined the group and will do measurements tomorrow 😊

We recently got the Nuna norr and I love it. It rotates so it makes it so much easier getting the baby in and out but it’s actually rear facing only which is much safer. It also passed the Swedish plus test which gives me a peace of mind. It is usually quite expensive but pramworld currently has it on sale for £269 and it comes with the iso base included

@Oliwia amazing thank you! I am going to add all recommendations to a list and have a look ☺️x

No worries! Apparently babies on the higher percentile can outgrow it faster which can be an issue but we’re only on the 25th so it’s not an issue for us. Hope you manage to find one that works for you x

With your budget and car, there is the britax max safe pro. Swedish tested and is extended rear facing to 36kg which is great for high centile babies. Currently on offer in a lot of places less than £200. A lot of children outgrow spin seats before the recommended forward facing age.

We love the Joie ispin expensive but can tell it’s good quality and will see you through until 4

@Deborah thank you! I’m starting to see why maybe a 360 seat isn’t necessary 😊 will definitely be taking a look at this one x

@Becky thank you! ☺️ can see it is highly recommended online! X
