Preston induction

Hi everyone - I’m due to be induced on Friday at Preston and they said they’d call me in the morning…. Does anyone know what time roughly they usually call? Praying for a positive experience so if anyone has one please share!!! 🙏🏽

They usually call when they are ready for you to come in. I was going straight to delivery rather than maternity ward first and they called me on the day they said they would but there was no rooms available. They kept in touch with me through the day and said I could go in and wait on maternity until a room was available but opted to stay at home. They called me the next morning and asked me to make my way in when I was ready. Hope this helps.

PS my induction process was a positive experience 👌🏽

I got told it would be before 10am but it got to 11am and I hadn't heard anything so I rang them. They were just really busy which I understood and said they would call me back in an hour or so but called me back within about 10 minutes to come in xx

They say by 10/11ish, they’ll ring you with what time to. Same to someone else they were really busy that day so I ended up ringing them and they said they’d call me back. I think they rang at 12 saying come in at 6 so you do get a few hours notice it’s never as immediate as “come in this second”

They delayed mine and only rang around 3ish….as for positive experience, sorry not me 🫠

They called me at 12pm and then said they would need to call back because they were busy, they then called at 3pm and I went in for it at 4pm. Do not have a positive experience to share though but I know so many women who have, there’s even more groups on here for positive induction stories etc x

I was induced via pessary 4 hours later my LO was here. My first birth too. I had such a good experience the contractions come on thick and fast but they do slow down ironically (well they did for me once pessary was out) so the worse bit is over half way through so it can only get ‘better’. The contractions when I was induced was worse than pushing my little one out. But that’s just me. You’ll be absolutely fine!

@Becca omg that’s amazing!! I pray that’s me 😅

@Karolina oh no I’m sorry to hear that - praying mine goes well and isn’t too delayed !
