How much formula?

We are moving on from breastfeeding to formula. I wanted to know how much formula is being given at 7 months old and how often? We have started weaning, breakfast only so far but will soon introduce dinner too..

I think it really depends on the baby as they are all so different. I was told at this age they should be having between 500ml - 800ml milk a day. The tins give you an idea so you could try working with that to start and then just adjust as you go. My LG has roughly 150ml at 7am, 210ml at 11am, 150ml at 3pm and 240ml at 7pm. Sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less 🙂

My 6m old has 150mls every 3 hours sometimes more or less

6 months old but very big boy - has 210ml 3 times a day - middle of the night / about an hour after waking / afternoon and then food now about 5pm and back to square 1 xx

We don't do formula but I would start with 5oz max and see if they want more. Some babies eat more then others but 4 to 5oz is the average amount of breast milk a baby takes so it's a good starting ground for formula and then you can increase from there if they want more.

Thank you everyone! 🫶

I’ve just weaned too, I give my little one 6 ounces every 3 hours. He has 5 feeds a day, last one before bed around 7

My 6¾ month (5¾ adjusted) baby has 4½-6oz 4 times a day (we offer a 6oz bottle in each wake window) & offer 5oz twice at night 👍 she also has 1 meal a day atm. I'd say start with 5-6oz and see how they do, you can always adjust up or down as needed 👍
