Driving test

Just failed my driving test today. I cried infront of the examiner and the instructor. I am 36 weeks now and I am not sure if I should retake the test within 2 weeks or wait till I give birth. I feel shit.

Give it another go whilst it's still fresh in your mind. I'm sure you'll pass next time might be better to do it before baby is here. Good luck

My heart goes out to you 💕 I also thought I would be in this position few months ago (I failed in beginning Feb and booked myself in two weeks later and thankfully passed, got preggers with my second straight after that), please do whatever you feel you will be able to cope with better! Remember that in 2 weeks time you will be even more uncomfortable than you are now, so all depends if you will be able to manage that, likewise you don’t know how your birth will go so postpartum could also be rough, if this is your first baby you don’t know what to expect but if it’s a subsequent baby you will know what postpartum feels like. Weight out the pros and cons 👍🏻☺️

I failed mine last year when I was 36 weeks too. And then retook it at 39 weeks and passed it just couple of days before my due date 🤗

I’m sorry to hear!😔 Is this your first pregnancy? Midwives say that first babies usually arrive on the later side, as our bodies have never done it before. So, 38 weeks is probably fine to retake the test if this is your first baby. Also just consider how you’re feeling physically. If you’re feeling good now at 36 weeks then hopefully you’ll still be good in two more weeks. I’m currently 38+3 and driving isn’t an issue for me at all right now. Ofc everyone is different though! As Nicole said, there could be benefits to doing it now whilst fresh in your mind. Best of luck!! I failed my first test miserably and was not pregnant! Happens to all of us 🩷
