I just scrub hard for a good few minutes with tons of washing up liquid. How do you make your bottles? I found washing bottles made with the kettle method were easier than bottles made with the prep machine.
We literally just had to wash them twice in really warm water with Milton washing up liquid. It was all that cut it - SMA wasn’t right for little one and I won’t lie, we were so happy to move on from it not only for him but for our washing up sanity too 😅.
It's horrible stuff isn't it? We found rinsing with cold water as soon as the bottle was done, then using the mam bottle brush was the most effective, and using neat washing up liquid on the inside of the bottle bit and a quite a bit of welly. Only putting one bit at a time into the water also helped, but it did take forever. We're now on infatrini peptisorb and everything is a lot less stressful, hope it's working for your little one
Hot water leave to soak for a few mins and I use a sponge instead of a bottle brush. If you’re not going to wash straight away then fill the bottle with water, found this helps to stop it getting so greasy
Thanks girls !! We've just started our cmpa journey and trialling this milk for a month as they want to try reintroduce normal formula after we finish as he was having really bad eczema flare ups over his face so they think it maybe a slight intolerance ! Would love to chat to some of you who have been on this journey for a while to help understand it all a bit better !
We used to be on this and I absolutely hated it! Someone had posted that Milton bottle cleaning liquid was good and that’s what I used which seemed to be the only thing that helped and it didn’t take as long to clean with it
@Faith we use a prep machine as it was always the easiest option with our old formula !
Put them in the dishwasher if you have one! If not the 2 wash method with Milton is also good but they still stay greasy
@Liv can you just put them on a normal cycle I've never used the dishwasher for bottles as I've always seen people say about they have a special setting for bottle cleaning and always been worried ill melt them or something 🤣
Fairy (no other cuts it), water as hot as you can stand. Soak for at least 15 mins then wash as normal. We also fill with water and a drop of liquid as soon as we’re done with the bottle/ cup ( we’re 2.5 so off bottles). We’re on alfamono never had any issues doing it this way x
