Being postpartum is like being in an aquarium tank. With 100s of people walking through and watching all of the fish swimming by, mesmerized by the beautiful coral reef structures, while you’re just drowning, struggling to surface, for a gasp of air, while slowly fading away. But nobody sees you, they see what they want to see and they continue on. Whether they’re distracted by the beautiful life before them, or too caught up in their own, no one sees you drowning.

Yes. Wow I relate. In my case people would see me swimming and tell me I'm overreacting, or just look up it's beautiful while neither will save my life

It makes me so sad 😢

I told my therapist that postpartum feels like everyone else is on one path together and I’m on a separate path that’s all by myself.
