RhD Negative and a sweep?
Anyone had a sweep with negative blood type?
I know they say to expect spotting/some bleeding after a sweep, but how have you found it and were you told to get an extra Anti-D injection?
I’ve had so many of the injections at this point, I’ve lost count but I wasn’t sure if it was the same process for a sweep?

I had a sweep and rhesus negative - I did bleed a bit but wasn’t given any extra anti d or anything! Only had one anti d injection so far this pregnancy! I know baby is positive as they tested early but they haven’t mentioned having any more injections! Seeing midwife today so may ask that question!
I asked today! I’m the same as you and we know baby is positive but apparently we shouldn’t need anything additional as they can be certain the blood is from us (our cervix) rather than from the baby!

I’m negative currently 38 weeks and I’ve not been told anything about it affecting a sweep. I’m due to have a sweep at 40+1 if nothings happened and the midwife didn’t mention it. All I know is they will check my babies blood type when she’s born and if she’s positive I have to have another injection. X
