Blocked nose

Hi everyone, my 8-week-old has a severely blocked nose and is making noises as the mucus is really bothering her. I’ve tried using a nasal spray, but it’s not helping much, and she’s struggling to sleep. She’s crying inconsolably, and I’m not sure what else to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

These are some of the things I did for my little girl - humidifier (added some snuffle babe vapour oil), calpols saline nasal drops & snot sucker, and steam up the bathroom if you can before you wash her x

My 6 week old has a blocked nose and every-time I hear it I use the Freda nose sucker and it is all removed and she gets instant relief.

Another vote for the fridanose. It's amazing

Thank you! I am waiting for the pharmacy to open asap. I’ll go and fetch it

Is the mucus on her chest? If so could be bronchiolitis, my girl has it. Took her to the gp yesterday, I’m just doing what others have said, snot sucker, steamy bathroom etc. hopefully it gets better soon! One of the downsides of having an autumn/ winter baby 😭

We got an aspirator from the local pharmacy and it was the best £6 we spent! Not a saline one, or one your suck.

Thank you all. She’s feeling better with snot sucker.

@Portia she has it in her nose so snot sucker was super good. I hope your baby is feeling better

Sterimar saline spray! Tried the Calpol drops but it didn’t work!

@Chantelle thanks! Yeah you’re right. I initially tried the calpol spray and I did not see much improvement so I am using the aspirator and the sterimar. She’s better now :)
