The ones they can stand up and push .
Definitely get the push walkers, we made the mistake to let our baby boy use the sit in walker, he drags his feet instead of normal steps because he got so used to the walker. Now he is 1 almost 2 and he tippy toes sometimes when he walks around.
@Desiree @Kelly @Kai
Interact with him by holding his hand and encouraging him to stand and step . 4mths is to early for walkers but you can do a jumper or push toy , instead of a walker to help strengthen the muscles in the legs . each is own . . Do what works best for you and baby .
@Desiree jumper or push toy? I read jumpers were bad ? Or no?
@Desiree this is my first so I don’t know what works for us lol😭😭😭 but I did read walkers were bad and was debating on not doing it but like the jumpers that have all the toys or the one that hangs from the door
We build leg strength by letting him hold our hands and he bounces. Sit in walkers are banned in some countries. My son also stood on the edge of the couch as soon as he could (6m) and starting cruising furniture. At 8m we bought him a push walker and he was given another plastic ones w music- that one we keep inside, the wooden one we keep outside. But no they don’t need sit in walkers for leg strength
My baby had both and he walks perfectly fine. We had a height adjustable one so he was able to use his feet. He didn’t even use the push one often . He always do it a few times and he get annoyed with the push one
@Nisha he had the walker and his feet were fine ? Okay that’s a relief I had one to and my feet are okay too so I may get a walker and then later on a jumper
Yes my baby walk fine. Tbh that walker gave him speed because he fast 😂😂
@Nisha 😭😭😭oh lord I don’t think ima be able to keep up gonna have to put em in track
I’ve read that walkers are also bad for babies hips😬
I’m on baby #3 & honestly I had it all. I am back to the door jumper & push toy. I am / will not get another walker . Yes all kids are not the same. So it just depends on what they /you prefer. Yes kids / babies are picky In a way. Mine walked perfectly with or without a walker. Got the 2nd born a walker and she actually did better without it. Felt like the walker was a way for us to get a breath / break but there are swings,play yards & loungers for that .
I personally didnt use a jumper and dont plan on hsing a walker as it does not actually help them walk ang fast and can cause hip problems and walking on toes like others had said they will build strength on there on no need to push them to do it our baby just did tummy time then learned how to cwarl at 8 monoth and no is 8 and a half and is already pulling up to stand they learn on there own time

I never heard they was bad for babies. We all had them growing up so idk. But I would say do what you feel is best for your baby. Like I said my baby walks fine and have no problem with hips or anything. My baby don’t walk on his toes either. I never heard of that happening because of a walker. We bought the push toy and to me it was dangerous because my son would push it to far ahead and fall on his face so I didn’t like that one. My husband put duct tapes on the wheels to stop it from sliding everywhere and keep a steady pace and it help a little but my son already had his mind made up that he didn’t like that push toy 😂
The standing push ones are fine. The sitting ones with wheels (where they sit in the middle and can roll themselves by walking before they have the control) are also illegal depending on where you are because they're dangerous: babies can build up speed and knock down baby gates and go down the stairs.
