C section mommas

At my 20 week appointment my doctor and I discussed a c section due to my uterine inversion with my daughter that nearly killed me. She basically said to me if I don't wanna play Russian roulette with my life than a c section is the way to go and they would not fight me on that. Im due in March. so my question is how is healing for everyone? I've also read that it's harder to breastfeed after having a c section has anyone had that complication? I'm nervous to say the least I talk to a actually delivering doctor/surgery for my office here in 3 weeks to discuss.

I’m almost 6 weeks pp with twins and after the drugs wore off I was in a good amount of pain but no complications the best thing I can reccomend is to move around the best you can like around your room to help break up blood clots

I had elective C-sections with my children. The healing is painful for a week or so then kind of sore for a few weeks. I would choose it everytime over a vaginal. No labor, no pushing, everything is done in a controlled way with no surprises.

I just had my first baby through an emergency c section last month. Healing is slow but I felt much better after the first week. Breastfeeding might be tough because you are uncomfortable, but you can find a position that works! It was hard for me but not so much because of the surgery. No complications for my healing so far. You will be good :)

I had a planned c section. It’s quite sore for the first few days but after five days I got on with life and my family was suprised . They told me to slow down but I Coudnt 🙈🙈🙈. Breastfeeding was hard for me as it took about a week for my breast milk to come in. He didn’t latch till about three weeks and he got used to the botttles but he did and after four months I stopped breastfeeding as he wasn’t too keen which I still feel very guilty about. On the other hand my friend has an emergencies c section and her breast milk came in right away . I think everyone is very different

i had a planned c section. honestly i have had nothing but complications with the wound, it has got infected 2 times and 1 part of the wound has not closed yet, i was sore for about 1-3 weeks, its been a nightmare as i am 3 months postpartum and everyone said after 6 weeks i should be fine… im still dealing with it now and missing out on doings things with my daughter x

I had a last minute, but planned, c section and it was so smooth honestly. It was my first baby and I had zero problem breastfeeding, pain for the first 5-7 days, but just move slowly and you will be fine. After that, there might have been some mild pain for a week or 2 but it felt better everyday. I planned c section (vs emergency) generally goes pretty smoothly. My medical providers in the OR explained everything to me and that was helpful.

Thanks ladies this is making me feel so much better about the c section ❤️
