craziest morning ever

so it’s only 8am, our girl pooped, and as her dad was going to get in the shower i change her. well it’s been like fighting an alligator with diaper changes lately and she apparently had more in the chamber. as i’m wrestling her she poops ALL OVER OUR BED! i start screaming for her dad and he comes running out, sees the chaos unfolding, wraps her up in a towel and gets her in the tub. when it seems like she’s got to be completely empty, SHE POOPS EVERYWHERE IN THE TUB!! so i hurry and take her out and her dad cleans it. i put her on the toilet as we had just bought a toilet seat to get ready to potty train her. well she poops AGAIN but thankfully in the toilet (kinda proud) i get her cleaned up and set her on the rug in front of the toilet and her dad goes to grab her to put her in the freshly cleaned tub, and she PEES ALL OVER THE RUG! it’s now 8:30… the gremlin in question:

Ahahahaa omg I’ve been struggling with diaper changing lately too😂😂😂

My daughter is a MONSTER during changing time right now lol. I just got her a potty bc she’s started saying poop before she poops or while she’s trying so I’m hoping I can get her pooping on it in the new month or two.

@Armani girl i’d have an easier time taking a burger out a dog’s mouth! you’d think i was about to cut off her limb or something

@Maura i’m glad i’m not the only one starting with potty training right now! she comes with me when i go and if i don’t go in the morning she’ll walk me to the bathroom and she shows all the signs that she’s ready

@Sadie-Lynn Same here!! I know it’s super early but I figure if she’s showing signs of being interested why not try

what is right age to potty train babies?

I've started changing my son as soon as he starts waking up so he doesn't wiggle as much. It's made a good difference and then he goes to daycare on weekdays so I just change him once right before bed and he is sleepy then too, but on weekends I have someone distract him or just hold him down

@MrsB it’s super dependent on your baby, I think it can go anywhere from 18 months to 3 years! 12 months is definitely early. They should be showing interest and have a general understanding, I know they also generally recommend they should be able to put on and take off their pants on their own. (My daughter cannot but I figure if she’s telling me she’s going to poop why not try 🤷‍♀️)

@Maura yea that’s what i was thinking.. my son is 11 months rn. my mil was expecting me to potty train him when he was around just 7 months lol. i told her it’s not possible i would wait when he’s ready, he’s too young. thank you for your advice😊

I love how she stood for the picture like “yeah, what you gonna do about it?”
