I was not dilated, hard cervix etc etc so a balloon induction was suggested. Got the balloon inserted on the 1st(wasn’t as painful as expected) then had to wait 24hrs and came back
The balloon was pulled out of me as I was almost as dilates as expected(a little shocking and slightly painful)
I was 3cm dilated, then my water was broken a few hrs after and then pitocin for contractions
And baby was here in 11hrs since my water was broken
And 8hours since pitocin was started
And 6hours since epidural
Thank you lovely ❤️
I had a balloon fitted and my contractions started straight away and continued when it was removed, my cervix was posterior but really soft so it was hard to get in but definitely helped bring the labour on. I had it fitted at 6pm and removed at 6am and I had him 9:30pm and my waters went on their own around 4:30pm so I had a really positive experience xx
Yes, I had it done as an outpatient procedure
