Normal?
Is this OK behaviour for a 6 month old?I'm worried because I've heard it's a sign of autism, he makes eye contact he smiles ,responds to his name and is meeting milestones, I'm just anxious ftm

My girl does that too, she’s 7 months on Friday, I’ve never even thought about linking it to autism, I just thought it’s normal baby behaviour

It’s totally normal at 6 months! It’s part of how babies learn about themselves. It can be confusing because a lot of normal developmental behaviour can also be a sign of autism, but not in isolation. You have to look at all the behaviours of the child. Sounds like every else indicates normal development so I wouldn’t worry!
