I took my 9month old for the first time last week and he was able to play in the ball pit and I lifted him on to the little blocks and rocked him etc he really enjoyed it. We went during the school half term and there were a lot of older children running around/throwing things in the baby area (something to be mindful of)
About 5 months as there is one local to us with a nice baby/sensory room but I'd say from whenever they are confidently crawling and cruising about would be good as you can lift them on and onto things and they can clamber around
I took my 6 months old he sat in the ball pit they had there and then rolled around on the soft mats too xx

That's a good age! I've taken from much younger because of older siblings but I would say it's worth it from 8 months in my experience.
