Possessive & controlling?

MIL hasn’t seen lo for 3 months. I was banned from visiting the house due to not seeing eye to eye on boundaries. She refuses to visit us or meet anywhere mutual. We went to visit another family member recently and when she copped hold of it made a jealous comment and blocked us. Is it just me that thinks she’s being possessive over a child she doesn’t see? Lo is 7 months
