My boy is too young for this still but I've heard that if you teach them standing up, you'll have to deal with poop slipping out while they're standing 🤭 so isk
Standing just sounds too messy. We’re practicing sitting first
Actually it's physiologically better to seat to pee even for adults (any gender!). Standing up doesn't allow to fully empty the bladder. My partner start to pee seated lately after we've learned about this. And we plan to teach our son to do the same.
@Sophia new fear unlocked lol
My toddler sits on small potty (no successes yet). He also watches his dad pee standing up. I've heard that a good trick for boys is a coffee that can be used like a urinal. I haven't tried it yet since I'm due in December with baby #2 and don't want to push potty training just to go through a regression.
We do sitting first, then we move to standing. I've also told my son that when he goes with Dad, he can stand, but when he goes with Mom, he needs to sit. we have a kids' urinal to help understanding "standing".
I was trying sitting but my twin B saw dad pee standing up and now mimics it. I haven’t figured out how to get him to actually do it though
