Hicks or contractions?

Hey mama's, so I'm on my second pregnancy and I'm 30 weeks. The last two hours I've been having consistent tightening in my belly and can be quite uncomfortable. Thing is I didn't have this issue with my first so I don't know if these are hicks or contractions? Should I be worried? 😅

More than likely hicks but time them just in cas. Make sure youre staying hydrated.

Unfortunately Braxton hicks start earlier with each pregnancy. I’m on my 4th pregnancy and I started having them at 25 weeks this time. Always time them just in case. Belly band and increasing your collagen can help with them (this has helped me tremendously this pregnancy)

hey. i’m no help as i didn’t have braxton with my first daughter plus that was 8years ago and i feel like i remember nothing from that pregnancy and i feel like the other day i had a couple but im not sure what im supposed to be looking for 😂 but i just wanted so say how cool it is you’re in Cameron NC. I’m in spring lake and will be 31 weeks on thursdayâ˜ș

Drink some water, lay down and relax, make sure you don’t have to poop/pee, if they remain consistent or painful consider calling advice nurse if that’s available to you or go in to get checked. Braxton hicks aren’t typically consistent.

Hey lovely mama! Congrats on baby #2! At 30 weeks, the tightening could be Braxton Hicks, which are “practice” contractions to help prep your body, as done mamas suggested above
Try switching positions, resting, warm shower or drinking water—Braxton Hicks often ease up with these changes, while true labor contractions stay consistent and grow stronger. If they become more intense, rhythmic, or you feel back pain, pelvic pressure, or fluid leaking, it’s a good idea to check in with your provider. You’re doing amazing, and it’s totally normal for each pregnancy to feel a bit different! Sending love mama!
