I had bloody mucus after my second membrane sweep, but I never saw any of my mucus plug
I've had 2 natural labours and neither of them I had a bloody show. My first, suddenly my waters broke and labour started. My second, I gradually lost my mucous plug over a week, then the next 2 weeks I had random contractions sometimes up to every half an hour, then when they became regular, I had a 6 hour labour and my baby came all the way out in the amniotic sac! It burst when her body came out! So no bloody slow, no waters breaking for my second.
Both natural labours I've had now I haven't had a bloody show. The first time my waters suddenly broke with no warning. The second time I was losing a bit of my mucus plug for a few days, had Braxton Hicks etc. then my water broke
I didn’t lose mucous or had a bloody show with my first, my waters didn’t break eifher. It was contractions first.
When I lost my mucus plug, I found each subsequent toilet break thereafter had more and more mucus and gradually increased with blood too. I started getting contractions 10 mins apart straight after initially losing my mucus plug though and my belly went super tight and rock hard. Some people experience early labour different to others and it could go on for quite a while before your contractions get super close together so that may be the start from losing your mucus plug! I’ve only had one bub though so don’t have anything else to compare to.
