Chesty after a feed

Does anyone else’s little one sound chesty after a feed at night time? We put our little girl down and she sounds chesty and like something is sat on her chest. We do paced feeding and keep her upright for a while after a feed.

Yes! We think she has silent reflux

Yes! Think it’s silent reflux. Sounds like he needs to do a big burp almost

That’s what I was thinking too! @Annabel @Laura it makes me panic!! Have either of you spoken to the midwife /HV?

The doctor prescribed us infant gaviscon but I’m still figuring it out. She’s mostly breastfed so it’s a bit of a faff to give her and I’m trying to work out when is the best time to give her it and how much to give her as I know it can make them constipated and I don’t want to resolve one issue but cause another. So I can’t tell whether it’s helping yet. Shes also sleeping like absolute crap atm which I’m putting down to the 6-8 week regression but it could be down to the reflux. How is she lying down etc? Our daughter hates the car seat and lying down so these are also tell tale signs.

No I haven’t as it seems to pass after a while after feeding. We put his next to me crib on a slight tilt which has helped at night and their reflux does get better as they get older 🤞I’m holding off giving him anything for it atm

@Annabel we are also having the sleep regression at the moment too. Luckily, not through the night but she hardly sleeps all day! She used to go down for sleeps so well but we are finding she keeps waking herself up and I think it’s because of reflux. She’s fine in the car but the pushchair is hit and miss at the moment. I think I’m going to contact the HV tomorrow to see what they think. It’s so hard to know what’s right to do isn’t it!
