Sore around scar

I’m wondering if anyone else has had this, I’m a bigger woman anyway so after having my c-section 5 weeks ago I’ve got a pretty big overhang, I’m cleaning my belly 2-3 times a day drying it and leaving it to air out but it’s still rubbing and it’s very sore, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do? I’ve spoke to a doctor and my midwife and they’ve both said that I’m doing the right thing but I feel like this is never ending and it’s really painful! Thank you in advance!!

I would have a folded up dry flannel tucked under my belly over my cut x

Hey. Has the wound healed. Like scabbed etc? I had a bad infection in mine so mine took longer. But once everything healed and scabbed I used a sensitive moisturiser on mine. I still get nerve pain in it now 15 months on. I have a belly and overhang. It can be where it gets hot and sweaty that’s making it sore. Message me if you would like we can speak more x

@Charlie yeah it’s scabbed and healed, I’ve had an infection in it twice and been put on antibiotics for them both which cleared all the infections up x

@Chlo sorry to hear about your infections. They’re horrible. Liquid talc was amazing on mine. But E45 is great too. The soreness could just be from the healing. Mine did get pretty itchy too x

@Charlie I’ve never experienced anything so itchy in my life!! I’ve been using sudocream to help but then when I don’t is when it starts to rub! X

@Chlo definitely try liquid talc. It lasts longer than sudocream. I use it almost everyday now just to stop any rubbing or even chaffing x

@Charlie thank you!! C
