Starting Nursery

My son was 9 months when he started and nursery said I could take in expressed milk, but I ended up switching to formula until he turned 1 because it was too much hassle having pump and feed him as well as holding down a full time job! x

I am hoping to express milk but will see how it goes.

My daughter started last week (7 months) she’s EBF but has taken bottles (pumped breastmilk) from me, my mum and her dad. She refused a bottle for 2 days at nursery but had food and water. Today she started taking her bottles at nursery - they just kept trying with her, and today she’s had 4! I take my breastmilk in frozen and I started pumping around a month before she started to build up a bit of a freezer stash x

@Charlie NCT advise 1-1.5oz for every hour that you’re away from baby, but all babies are different. On her first full day I had to go in and give her a feed then she had 4oz later that day and that was it whilst she was there. yesterday she had about 13oz whilst there for 8 hours and fish curry and a snack 😅 I’ve been dropping off about 15oz a day but that’s because I know they already have some of my milk there, they let me know on pick up how much they have left. Sorry it’s not much help! X
