Watching Ms. Rachel on YouTube is also very helpful! Within one day your child should be repeating words!! Ms. Rachel’s child didn’t start talking until he was 2 and that’s what inspired her to make videos for children. She’s very popular. Definitely please give Ms. Rachel on YouTube a try
My 15 month old doesn’t say a lot of words either! My little cousin who is 5 months older is SO advanced and I try not to compare but she helps me keep track of where my baby should be. She’s a daycare baby and I feel the constant socialization with other children did wonders for her. I try taking my baby to ALL the classes my little town has to offer 😅 playgroups at our community center/baby gymnastics/story time at the library. And of course I try to have playdates with my little cousin as much as possible. I’m about to be 40 weeks so it’s hard to get around since the beginning of the third trimester but I try my best to attend everything. I also talk in full sentences and sound things out/break down words. (Ex. SO-DA). I don’t really like to depend on toys/ms rachel. I find my son picks things up a lot faster when I take the time to teach him and play with him. So I would actually get down on the floor with him and play by myself, he’ll usually gain interest on his own and copy me.
Mine is on a similar note but also, personally, I don’t worry much (unless the pediatrician finds that he is behind). We so some motor skills and other activities: - put a stick through a hole - but little sand bags inside a container - put rings through a stick - climbing - repeating words while showing flash cards or things
@Anna She LOVES Mrs.Rachel. That’s the only way I can get her to talk
Ms rachel
My son is also almost 16 months and he’s the same but we just started progressing. I started socializing him A LOT more and he was suddenly yapping away on Halloween with his little friend. I also got him those talking flashcards, the leap frog books that talk to him (100 words and 100 animals). Just books that talk to him in general. I also just talk to him like hes a grownup lol. No baby talk.
