Baby fell

My baby was sitting on our island in the kitchen, and she fell backward. She has a little dump forming and crying whenever I touch it. Otherwise, she's laughing and talking . Just tender, I guess should I take her in ?

How old is your baby?

@Rose 7 months.

I’d definitely take her in just Incase. Even if she hit the back of her head that soft spot is still open and the last thing you want is for that spot to get swollen!! Even if the doctors say nothing is wrong and she’s perfect, it’s better to be safe than sorry!!

I’m assuming the island is pretty high up as it’s a counter, i’d take her in just because of that better to be safe than sorry for sure! Until u take her in, monitor how she is acting like if she gets sleepy and it’s not nap time yet or if she vomits or isn’t eating like normal etc.

@Jewels, she didn't fall off it. She was sitting and just went backward.

Omgg so sorry i read that incorrectly then, lol I was freaked out! Hoping whatever happens tho that she is okay 🫶🏻

@Jewels lol. Girl, you got me freaking out !! But she'll be okay Also, where wasn't a bump? My husband felt her head. It was me freaking out and imagining things. Thank you X

@Rose she fell backward sitting. Should I still call?

If she fell from a height that is double her height you have to take her in. Other than that my pediatrician said not to worry unless there are signs of a concussion. If she is acting like normal I wouldn’t worry!!

@Dorothy, thank you. I was told the same thing. She was sitting and just fell back while sitting .

Lol sorryyyy! The same has happened to my baby! I walked in the bathroom for 5 seconds to grab her bottle and she fell off the bed 😅 She was perfectly fine after, no bump, no signs off concussion and I didn’t end up needing to take her in. But if ur gut feelings says to, there’s nothing wrong with that!

Is she is crying when you touch it, then yes take her in!! She’s in some form of pain that needs to be checked. For peace of mind too.
