ECV?

Baby is breech at 34 weeks so I’m having a read around risks/benefits of having an ECV in case I need one. Has anyone had an ECV before and can share their experience or recommend a good resource to understand more? Thanks!❤️

I’m the same, booked in for moxibustion acupuncture that I read about on the nhs website. I’m not overly keen on the ecv due to risks, and only a 50% success rate

@Jennifer I’m in the same boat. My midwife talked about ECV as if it was standard (which it may well be!) but based on some initial reading I’m not sure whether I would accept one or not. When are you having moxibustion? X

I had one first pregancy. It was fine and worked! Didn’t hurt xx

@Jennifer they use their hands to move the baby like a massage!

@Hannah good to know it didn’t hurt! How many weeks were you when you had it done?x

@Izzy they only do it from 37 weeks. They do all checks via scan then monitor you before and after x

Never had one but just thought I'd drop some encouragement that my baby turned recently at just 36 weeks. It was intense feeling but a real relief. I hope yours does too!

@Hannah thank you ❤️❤️

Plenty of time for baby to move, probability is that it most likely will move 👌

https://www.spinningbabies.com/pregnancy-birth/techniques/forward-leaning-inversion/ You still have lots of time, but the positions on here are good to look at, to help create space for baby to move into. Make sure you do them with someone helping you and lots if cushions/pillows! If you do Moxi then they work well together.

@Izzy yeah same here regarding the standard turning procedures but when I checked nhs website the risks, albeit minimum, put me off, so trying the moxibustion! Going today and in 33 weeks, so hoping by week 36 there’s a turn x

My friend went upside off the sofa and it helped baby turn on her own!

@Helen thank you xx
