Combo feeding

Hi does anyone know how many ounces a 5 week old should be eating? I exclusively pump so my baby gets 2 oz of breastmilk every 2 hrs. If he is still hungry, I will give him an oz of formula. He also gets formula 2-3 times during the middle of the night. I tried feeding him 3 oz about every 3 hrs over the weekend. I know breastfed babies still eat every 2-3 hours at this time but when does the amount and time between feedings start to increase? Is there any guidelines for combo feeding and the amount they should be eating?

Each baby is different. Just no more than 6oz of breastmilk per feed. My baby is 6m and still eats every 3.5-3hrs. It shouldn’t really go longer than that between feeds

@Trinity thank you! I’m assuming you picked up on baby’s cues regarding the amount they eat? I guess my confusion comes from knowing that formula fed babies start having a faster increase in ounces so I wasn’t sure if I should be feeding him more formula

My LO is 9 weeks and eats every 2-3 hours. Sometimes 4oz of breastmilk, sometimes 2-3oz of formula. I just read his cues. As long as your baby is growing i think you're fine.

My LO is 10 weeks and eats 5oz a sitting (no joke would take more if I let him) and he goes 3-4 hours in day and has been doing 1 sleep that is 6-7 hours in night then goes back to 3-4 hour

That is breast milk btw I exclusively pump

@Brianna @Sharnathank you both for the insight!
