Toilet training boys - weeing

My boy has been toilet trained since Easter but has recently started not making it to the toilet in time for wees. It was just a dribble in his pants but he has begun doing a full wee in his pants and trousers and not telling us he needs to go or going when we ask if he needs a wee. Has anyone gone through this with their boy or have any tips? Just asking him to tell us when he needs a wee doesn't seem to be working at the moment. We give a small chocolate for poos in the toilet as we were getting poos in the pants but I don't want to do this for every toilet trip. I was thinking a sticker chart?

Sticker chart may be a good shout. Sometimes children become “over confident” once they know they can hold it they start holding it for too long if that makes sense. Which then leads to accidents. I see this a lot at work (pre-school) and I’ve noticed my boy has started doing it this week too! Again just thinking he can hold it for longer than he can 🤦‍♀️ wish he’d just go straight away but toddlers always know best don’t they 🙄😂

Thank you! Our questions of "do you need a wee?" Are met with shouts and angry nos at the moment so that makes sense

My boy went through a short phase of this because he was holding it too long! It passed quite quickly!
