@Megan I was going to suggest the prune juice as well or warm baby apple sauce with the prune juice.
I would also monitor what foods may be constipating her. I remember this happened to our babygirl when we gave her banana for the first time. Give your pediatrician a call for peace of mind. Hoping your baby gets better. 🙏🏽
@Megan thank you I’ll try that!
My Mil tried prune juice and a teaspoon of Karo syrup and since then my now 3 yr old hasn't been like that since he turned 1
Also make sure she is getting water! I think 4-8oz per day (including in purées) once she starts solids. But pears and prunes help! High fiber foods.
Also- we started giving our baby whole milk Greek yogurt and she has gone every day since!
We’ve been doing pear Juice or prune/pear flavored baby food. I have a seven month old that is having the same issues.
Water should help soften her stool
My son started this at 2 months, he would go 7-15 days without pooping and that was cause for concern! Two doctors said it was fine (what the fuck!?) FINALLY my doctor came back from holidays she said no- he is constipated give him infant suppository. I did and he was regular for about a month. Then started having troubles again I gave him the suppository and again it helped. Once we started solids things of course got a bit backed up again but I have been constant and offer a variety of foods- now that he is getting cow milk at 10.5 months (okayed by doctor) he is more regular. I know you mentioned blw, maybe offer some purrees in her diet and see if that helps? Blueberries, Peaches, Prunes, Pears, Broccoli These are all things that can help, so I’ve heard. We do a mix of puree and blw.. just depends what we have for dinner. Goodluck! I know how awful this is from a mother’s perspective also. Xx
going through the same thing with my boy rn from his meds! we tried miralax last night and it helped get something out! prune juice helped too. if we can’t get anything out tonight we are gonna try a suppository because he hasn’t been eating due to constipation
Apple puree with chia seeds always helps my baby go- it’s her magic formula!
Prune puree , prune juice, pear puree, tiny bit of orange juice mixed in water, ask for lactalose or movicol if she’s been constipated a while. We have had to go through all sorts and suffered badly with digestive issues so I really feel for you
@Anna Kim i want to try this but i’m scared he will choke on the chia seeds😩
Try foods that start with P! I learned this from my homeopath. Prunes, pineapple, pear, plums. All help to loosen stool! My son had the same problem when he first started BLW. There is an adjustment period. Also make sure she is hydrated!
